To thrive in this role, you should possess the following:
• Previous bookkeeping experience coupled with proficiency in QuickBooks.
• A deep understanding of accounting principles and knowledge of GAAP accounting frameworks.
• Expertise in Microsoft Excel, data entry, QuickBooks, bank feeds, account establishment, and standard development.
• Ideally, a 2- or 4-year degree in accounting, finance, or a related discipline, though we are willing to train the right individual.

The Role You Would Play
• Ensure all bills are paid on time, transactions are recorded correctly, payroll runs on time, and taxes are filed correctly. Developing systems to account for financial transactions and maintain a chart of account.
• Recording and maintaining bank feeds and subsidiary accounts by importing QBOs, posting, verifying and allocating transactions (Most transactions have been programmed/automated to quickly identify which accounts they reside in)
• Reconciling entries to balance all accounts.
• Maintaining a balanced general ledger to generate reports in real-time.
• Monitoring for variances, entering data, filing reports, identifying errors and keeping everything current.
• Assisting in financial activities such as generating invoices, collecting debt or A/R collections, making payments, and running payroll.
• Preparing financial reports via QuickBooks for leadership.
• Advising management on compliance, A/R staging, past due invoices, interest reduction, and liability concerns.
