Key Responsibilities
• Design and implement data ingestion models, ETL processes, and testing frameworks to ensure the integrity and accessibility of data.
• Document data models and create Entity-Relationship (ER) diagrams.
• Develop, maintain, and refine our existing data architecture.
• Construct and design database schemas tailored for financial and real estate datasets.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including research, product, and operations to enhance analytical capabilities and streamline workflows.
• Analyze extensive aggregated datasets encompassing demographic, geographic, and GIS/spatial data.
• Work collaboratively with both our local development team and offshore team members across various time zones.
• Ensure a working overlap of 3-4 hours with team members located on the US West Coast for effective communication and collaboration.
Required Skills
• Proficiency in a scripting language, with a preference for Python.
• Competence in SQL and the capability to create complex queries for data retrieval and manipulation.
• A strong interest in data organization and familiarity with relational data structures.
• Knowledge of database design principles, optimization techniques, and maintenance practices.
• Experience with Amazon RDS, Redshift, and NoSQL technologies (e.g., MongoDB) is highly advantageous.
Qualifications
• A Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related discipline, or equivalent professional experience.
• 2-4 years of relevant experience in a scripting language, preferably Python.
• Proven experience in database management, specifically with MySQL, SQL, or PostgreSQL.
• A proactive approach to problem-solving, combined with excellent communication skills and meticulous attention to detail.
• The ability to work independently within a fast-paced Agile environment while staying current with evolving cloud technologies and best practices.
