Key Responsibilities
• Act as the primary liaison for all incoming calls, addressing scheduling inquiries, billing questions, and medication refills in a warm and professional manner.
• Ensure prompt responses to voicemails daily, assisting patients with their scheduling, billing, and medication requirements.
• Skillfully navigate patient records to verify medication refill dates, appointment specifics, and demographic data.
• Collaborate effectively with clinical and administrative teams regarding billing operations.
• Accurately process billing for patient visits each day.
• Generate comprehensive reports within our Electronic Medical Record (EMR) system that pertain to billing functions.
• Facilitate the transfer of documentation to other providers involved in the patient’s care.
• Employ Excel and Google Docs to quantify daily workflows and assist in reporting.
• Conduct printing, copying, scanning, and mailing tasks as directed by clinical and administrative teams.

Required Skills
• Prior medical billing experience is required.
• Outstanding interpersonal skills with a comfort level in patient interactions, both in-person and telephonically.
• Strong organizational abilities with a focus on timely follow-up related to scheduling, medication refills, and necessary paperwork.
• A readiness to engage with telehealth platforms for remote operations, with potential for in-person responsibilities dictated by practice leadership in response to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic.

Qualifications
• Previous experience in medical billing is essential.
• Exceptional communication skills and the ability to create a positive experience for patients.
• Proven organizational skills that enable effective follow-up and task management.
• High school diploma or equivalent is required, with medical billing certification preferred but not mandatory.
