We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Remote Special Education Teacher to join our team in Roanoke, Virginia. As a virtual educator, you will play a crucial role in providing high-quality special education services to students with diverse needs in our innovative online learning environment.
Responsibilities
– Develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) for students with special needs
– Provide specialized instruction through virtual platforms to support students’ academic, social, and emotional growth
– Collaborate with general education teachers, parents, and other professionals to ensure comprehensive support for students
– Assess student progress and adjust teaching strategies accordingly
– Maintain accurate records and documentation as required by state and federal regulations
– Participate in virtual team meetings and professional development opportunities
Qualifications
– Master’s degree in Special Education or related field
– Valid teaching certification in Special Education for the state of Virginia
– Minimum of 2 years of school experience in special education
– Proficiency in using technology and virtual learning platforms
– Strong communication and interpersonal skills
– Ability to adapt teaching methods to meet diverse student needs in an online environment
