We are seeking an experienced and results-oriented Senior National Accounts Manager to join our newly created National Accounts team to lead and manage the sales relationship with Barnes & Noble and Indigo. The successful candidate will play a critical role in pitching new titles, driving revenue, managing account relationships, and executing strategies to maximize sales across Barnes & Nobles… and Indigos national retail and online platforms. This position requires a deep understanding of the book retail landscape, strong sales acumen, and the ability to collaborate across multiple internal and external teams.
Responsibilities
Serve as the primary point of contact for Barnes & Noble and Indigo, developing and executing sales strategies to grow revenue and market share
Present the Adult, Childrens and Special Interest lists seasonally along with trade focused Academic titles
Work closely with internal teams such as publicity, marketing, editorial, and operations to ensure the successful execution of sales strategies and to support Barnes & Nobles evolving needs
Build and maintain strong relationships with key decision-makers at Barnes & Noble and Indigo, ensuring alignment on sales objectives, promotional plans, and long-term business strategies
Prepare and present regular sales reports to senior management, highlighting key performance metrics and growth opportunities
Analyze sales data, market trends, and customer insights to drive informed decision-making
Stay current on industry trends, competitor activities, and customer preferences
