The Role:
This part-time freelance role is specifically for candidates that are fluent in Korean and able to effectively speak to an online community in both Korean and English. You will join the Ralph NY team to manage the posting and community management for a suite of social channels for one of our premiere entertainment partners—relevant experience in entertainment social media and brand voice is preferred.
As with all our in-house social strategists, you’ll be highly knowledgeable in the social and digital space—an innovative thinker with a get-it-done attitude. You combine creative prowess and experience, as well as demonstrate the skills to stay organized and calm under pressure. Additionally, you will show impeccable attention to detail and an ability to maintain quality of output.
You will be expected to communicate with both internal Ralph teams and clients often, through virtual meetings and daily via Slack and email, maintaining a strong and friendly relationship throughout the life cycle of this project. This role will kick off the week of September 23, 2024, and is currently slated to wrap January 31, 2025, with varying hours per week depending on the campaign phase. While we are a New York-based team, this role is fully remote and we are open to working with the right person within the contiguous United States.
You should also act as a social strategic thought-leader, understanding the technology and language of social media platforms, and have a vision for their creative potential. This role will be responsible for the planning and publishing of social content across various client platforms in addition to owning the brand voice through caption copywriting and community management. You should be confident and comfortable with being the voice of the industryÂ’s biggest brands and entertainment streaming titles on social media. Online sentiment tracking will be required to report back to clients and used to monitor and evolve content strategies accordingly.
Additionally, you must enjoy working with people and be able to communicate clearly to keep daily output in step with the larger vision of the campaign.
Key Responsibilities:
• Be integral to crafting and executing a first-rate, original social campaign for our Client.
• Take initiative to pitch new ideas for upcoming campaigns and be an active brainstorming partner to Ralph Senior Strategists, Creative Leads and Clients.
• Remain calm in high pressure situations.
• Understand the unique voice and tone of the campaign, and be able to effectively translate that into concise, editorialized copy.
• Work with the Ralph social strategy team to schedule, draft, and post social content – assuming responsibility for the content and response once published.
• Oversee and participate in community management for social channels – engaging old fans and finding new ones, identifying and interacting with influential accounts, as well as flagging and escalating any potential issues.
• Communicate with clients to understand goals, manage expectations, and track approvals.
• Be comfortable when interacting with show talent, influencers, and fans online.
• Monitor campaign’s Key Performance Indicators and tracking performance results; drawing meaningful learnings from these metrics and recommending pivots when necessary.
• Stay aware of developments in social media, current trends and memes, platform updates, and top news stories in the space.
Skills & Qualifications:
• 4+ years of experience at an agency or comparable social marketing role.
• Entertainment experience and a passion for cultivating fandoms on social is a plus.
• Exceptional English and Korean written communication skills to effectively speak to online audiences.
• Experience working with cross-functional teams.
• A demonstrated skill for brand/campaign storytelling, where the brand message is carried alongside the demands of an audience-first approach.
• An excellent understanding of the social media industry and platforms.
• Have a consistent pulse on trends, pop-culture moments, and all things internet.
• Highly organized and able to juggle multiple projects concurrently.
• Ability to meet tight deadlines.

Additional Information:
• Compensation is based on an hourly rate of $75/hr
• Work hours will vary based on project needs
• Overtime incurred once freelancer exceeds 40 hrs/wk
