Blazer Jobs is seeking multiple Special Education Teachers in Kansas City, KS. These full-time positions offer an excellent opportunity to support students with learning disabilities in both middle and high school settings.
Job Responsibilities…
• Teach in resource and general education classrooms with up to 25 students, 33% of whom may be Special Education students.
• Provide individualized instruction and support for students with learning disabilities.
• Develop and maintain Individualized Education Programs (IEPs).
• Monitor and assess student progress, adjusting instructional methods as needed.
• Collaborate with general education teachers, parents, and other professionals to ensure student success.
• For high school positions, provide support to medically fragile and low-functioning students in smaller classroom settings (8-12 students).
Qualifications:
• Active Special Education teaching license in the State of Kansas.
• Experience in developing and implementing IEPs is preferred.
• Ability to manage diverse classroom environments and support students with a range of learning disabilities.
• Strong collaboration and communication skills.
