Satair is looking for a 3rd Shift Customer Order Specialist to join our Customer Support Team (AOG) in Herndon, Virginia.

We offer Aircraft-On-Ground support no matter when and where the aircraft is grounded.
Your Working Environment :
Located just five miles from Washington Dulles International Airport, and 30 miles from the U.S. Capitol, this site serves as our major parts distribution hub in the Americas. The facility is a 24 / 7 fulfillment center, with an Aircraft on Ground (AOG) support desk, and Quality Assurance (QA) operations. To best support our customers, our 20,000-square-foot warehouse features a brand new technology called Autostore, aiming at increasing productivity
Your challenges :
Process customer orders, quotations, initial order receipts, order entry, sourcing, escalation, backorders, general logistics, etc. for aircraft parts and services in response to customer needs.
Provide requested information on part availability, cost, sourcing, returns, discrepancies, transportation, delivery, and follow up to meet customer expectations.
Respond to technical inquiries utilizing Technical Documentation and liaising with technical and engineering departments to respond to customer inquiries.
Ensure customer shipping specifications are followed for critical orders and resolve discrepancies working with internal and external customers. Communicate potential urgent situations on critical orders and explore technical solutions.
Your boarding pass :
2+years of customer service experience in a fast-paced environment is required.
Experience in the aviation industry or military support environment is preferred.
An Associates Degree in Business, Sales Administration or a related field or an equivalent combination of education and experience
Ability to work 3rd shift / overnight hours 10 : 00pm to 6 : 30am
This position is a temporary (contract) position with no specific time period but could be extended or shortened as needed. Contractors are employed by a 3rd party vendor and placed on assignment to Airbus / Satair in America
