About the Role:
VocoVision is looking for a Remote Sign Language Interpreter (SLI) to provide virtual interpreting services for a second-grade student. This role offers the flexibility of working from home, with the opportunity to make a significant educational impact on a student?s progress.
Key Responsibilities:
? Provide 1:1 virtual ASL interpretation.
? Support communication between the student and teacher during lessons.
? Ensure interpreted content is accurate and culturally appropriate.
? Follow ethical guidelines and maintain confidentiality in all student-related matters.
? Work with the student?s education team to support their learning.
Qualifications:
? Minimum EIPA Score of 3.5.
? Strong proficiency in American Sign Language (ASL).
? Prior experience with educational interpreting preferred.
? Ability to work independently with little supervision.
? High-speed internet and technology suitable for virtual work.
