Role Description
This is a full-time remote role for a Virtual Special Education Teacher at Trivium Charter School. The teacher will be responsible for conducting virtual classes, developing individualized education plans for students with disabilities, communicating with parents and staff, and implementing specialized teaching strategies for middle school students.
Qualifications
• Skills in Special Education, Disabilities, and Middle School Teaching
• Strong communication skills for engaging with students, parents, and colleagues
• Experience in creating and implementing individualized education plans
• Ability to adapt teaching strategies for diverse learning needs
• Patience, empathy, and understanding in working with students with disabilities
• Experience in virtual teaching or online learning platforms is a plus
• Bachelor’s degree in Special Education or relevant field

TriviumÂ’s Special Education teachers provide individual and group sessions, track and monitor student progress, collaborate with general education teachers to modify lessons, implement and monitor behavior plans, and are an integral part of the IEP process. In addition, SPED teachers work collaboratively with families and coach students on necessary skills to complete tasks in a timely manner.
