Key Responsibilities
• Develop, implement, and oversee Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) and 504 plans to support students’ learning goals.
• Provide personalized online interventions and support for students with learning differences.
• Collaborate with general education teachers to modify curricula and ensure inclusive education.
• Conduct virtual assessments and track student progress to ensure effective learning outcomes.
• Communicate clearly and effectively with students, parents, and staff to foster a supportive learning environment.
• Engage in ongoing professional development to stay up-to-date with the latest best practices in online special education.
Qualifications
• Bachelor’s degree in Special Education; a Master’s degree is preferred.
• Valid teaching credential with special education authorization.
• At least 2 years of experience in special education.
• Experience with online learning platforms and assistive technology.
• Strong time management and organizational skills.
• A patient and empathetic approach to supporting students.
• Ability to work both independently and collaboratively as part of a virtual team.
