Location: United States (Remote) w/ 50-75% Travel (there may be some international travel expected to Canada / LATAM – however most will be US based).
Job Description
Key Responsibilities:
? Lead telephony modernization efforts on a per site basis from start of discovery to sunsetting of the legacy telephony systems.
? Conduct thorough assessments of existing telephony workloads in various locations, identifying current systems and configurations.
? Collaborate with stakeholders to gather and document voice requirements, ensuring alignment with business needs and objectives.
? Develop and execute a comprehensive technology transition plan from Cisco and Avaya telephony systems to Microsoft Teams enterprise voice.
? Engage with the Genesys Contact Center team where applicable for advanced contact center workloads and technology migrations to Genesys.
? Manage the implementation of Microsoft Teams calling plans or direct routing, ensuring seamless integration and minimal disruption to business operations.
? Provide technical expertise and support throughout the transition process, addressing any issues or challenges that arise.
? Conduct training sessions and create documentation to support end-users and administrators in using the new telephony systems.
? Monitor and evaluate the performance of the new voice systems and the project processes, making recommendations for improvements as needed.
? Work closely with the various technology groups to ensure successful deployment and adoption of the Microsoft Teams enterprise voice.
Qualifications
? Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Telecommunications, or a related field.
? Proven experience in telephony systems, particularly with Cisco and Avaya.
? Strong knowledge of Microsoft Teams enterprise voice, including calling plans and direct routing.
? Excellent project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities effectively.
? Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a keen attention to detail.
? Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
? Ability to adapt to changing technologies and stay current with industry trends.
Preferred Qualifications
? Certifications in Cisco, Avaya, or Microsoft Teams.
? Experience in large-scale telephony system migrations.
? Familiarity with network infrastructure and VoIP technologies.
