Job Description:
B Squared Media, LLC is looking for a Weekend and After-hours Community Manager (“Weekend CMGR”). This position is 1099 contractor status and will assist in executing social media inquiries for B Squared Media and its projects every Friday night, Saturday and Sunday with shifts between 9am – 12am (midnight) Eastern Time, including some after-hours community management shifts… between 5pm – 12am (midnight) Eastern Time. Flexibility to pick up a weekday shift is a bonus.
As the weekend CMGR, you will be responsible for managing the online social presence of B Squared Media and its projects. The perfect weekend CMGR will virtually glide through platforms such as Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, Instagram, Pinterest, etc. The main goal is to manage communities by using a “Think Conversation” style and to drive positive imagery of B Squared Media and its projects to onlookers during weekends and/or after hours.
• *PLEASE NOTE: Even though this job is remote, our projects are all located in the United States. Therefore a U.S. resident will best serve this position.
Key Responsibilities:
• Engage with Our Community: Monitor and respond to comments, messages, and posts on our social media platforms, fostering a positive and interactive environment. Participates in minute-by-minute online conversation by answering questions, offering solutions and mediating conversations.
• Basic Knowledge in Social Media: Experience on a variety of platforms in a must. Understanding the nuances of each platform is a bonus (for example knowing the between various formats reels vs stories, etc.) to maximize impact.
• Feedback & Improvement: Actively listen to community feedback and identify areas for improvement, always striving to enhance the user experience. Summarize insights and conversations to create actionable insights for Account Manager
• Collaboration: Work closely with the team to align community engagement strategies with overall brand goals and objectives. Daily communication while on shift with project, team, project manager, account manager is expected. Report project details to Project Manager and Account Manager around responses, escalation, comments, compliments, and complaints regarding brands engagement (“Rules of Engagement”) and help document FAQs (frequently asked questions).
• Process Follower: Follow step by step directions for working with each project. Response times of 30 minutes must be met, if not exceeded. An understanding of tagging/labeling is a must. Utilize reputation management platforms.
Qualifications:
• Skill Set: Undergraduate degree in communications, marketing, advertising, public relations, media studies, business and/or related fields. Knowledge of Sprout Social and Emplifi a plus. Remote/telecommute work experience a plus. Remote/telecommute work experience a plus.
• Flexible Availability: Must be able to work primarily on weekends with availability for occasional weekday shifts. Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment. Willingness to work during nonstandard business hours, including weekends and holidays (we are open 365 days a year!)
• Strong Communication Skills: Ability to engage in fluid, natural conversations, understanding the context and nuances of each message. Effectively communicates in both verbal and written form. Detail-oriented with excellent grammar and spelling.

• Social Media Savvy: Baseline knowledge of various social media platforms and their functionalities. 1-3 years of experience managing social media platforms or communities for brands
• Tech Requirements: Must have access to a working computer and a reliable internet connection.
Other Responsibilities:
• Create, update, and complete project tasks on time in Basecamp (project management system). Some of these tasks will need to be completed during the week.
• Track time by project task for invoicing in Harvest.
• Attend meetings with team or project leads for updates, reporting, and check-ins. These meetings are during the week.
• Stay up to date on process changes, communication and new tasks before your shifts begin.
Job Types: Part-time, Contract
Pay: $24.00 – $28.00 per hour
